Two methods, one system

FIFO or FEFO — Fast WMS
enforces whichever your product needs

Configure per SKU category. Dry goods run FIFO. Perishables, food, and pharma run FEFO. Both work simultaneously in the same warehouse.

Per SKU configurable
Method 01
FIFO
First In, First Out
The batch received first is always dispatched first. Fast WMS sorts pick lists by GRN date — staff can only pick the earliest-received lot. Prevents dead stock accumulating behind newer inventory.
Steel & metals Electronics Dry goods Automotive parts FMCG
Per SKU configurable
Method 02
FEFO
First Expired, First Out
The lot with the nearest expiry date is picked first — regardless of when it was received. Fast WMS reads expiry captured during GRN and sorts pick lines accordingly. Prevents customer returns and compliance violations.
Food & beverage Pharma Cold storage FMCG perishables Chemicals
How it works

Sales order to dispatch —
FIFO/FEFO enforced at every scan

From the moment a sales order is entered to the moment goods leave the dock, Fast WMS ensures correct picking order with zero manual calculation.

Sales Order
Customer order raised — FIFO or FEFO mode is applied automatically by item category
Auto Pick List
System generates pick list sorted by GRN date (FIFO) or expiry date (FEFO), with exact bin locations
Scan Confirm
Staff scan pick list barcode, then scan each packet barcode to confirm — wrong-lot scan is rejected
Dispatch
Material moved to delivery store, challan and invoice generated, Tally updated — pick list closed
01 — FIFO Picking

Oldest stock received
is always picked first

Fast WMS reads the GRN date for every lot in stock. Pick lists are automatically sorted oldest-first — staff cannot skip to a newer batch even if it's closer or easier to reach. Enforced at scan time, not just on paper.

Pick list shows GRN date and receipt sequence per lot
Wrong-lot scan at pick confirmation rejected in real time
Automatically handles multi-bin split lots
Reduces obsolete and non-moving stock write-offs

02 — FEFO Picking

Nearest expiry picked first —
always, automatically

Expiry dates captured during GRN are used directly to sort pick list lines. Stock expiring soonest appears at the top. For food, beverage, cold storage, and pharma operations, FEFO is mandatory — Fast WMS makes it effortless.

03 — Wave Picking

Multiple orders, one
pick run — wave picking

Fast WMS batches multiple sales orders into a single wave. Staff collect for several customers in one pass through the warehouse, dramatically cutting travel time. The system merges quantities, groups by zone, and splits to correct dispatch areas on completion.

Manual and automated wave creation modes supported
Pick list shows consolidated quantity per item, bin location on each line
FIFO/FEFO still enforced within each wave
Item-wise transfer to delivery store after scan confirmation

04 — Mobile Scan Confirmation

Scan pick list barcode,
then scan each packet —
zero keying required

As shown in the brochure: staff scan the pick list barcode (step 1), then scan each packet barcode (step 2). Confirmation locks the pick. Material is automatically transferred to the delivery store. The mobile screen runs on any Android device.

Works on Zebra, Honeywell handhelds and standard Android phones

Everything the Pick List module covers

FIFO Pick Lists

Auto-sorted by GRN date — oldest lot always picked first. Enforced at barcode scan, not just printed order.

FEFO Pick Lists

Sorted by expiry date captured at GRN. Nearest-expiry lot always dispatched first. Essential for food, pharma, cold storage.

Wave Picking

Batch multiple orders into one pick run. System consolidates quantities by zone, reducing picker travel distance.

Mobile Scan Confirmation

Scan pick list barcode, then scan packet barcode to confirm. Works on any Android — Zebra, Honeywell, or smartphone.

Auto Delivery Transfer

On pick confirmation, material is auto-transferred to the delivery store — no manual stock move needed before dispatch.

Pick List MIS Reports

Item-wise, customer-wise, order-wise, periodic, and pending pick list reports — full audit trail of every dispatch.

Reports included

Pick List MIS — full dispatch visibility

Every pick list, every confirmed scan, every delivery — logged and reportable. Supervisors can see pending picks, customer dispatch history, and real-time inventory movement without leaving the dashboard.
